Cleanings & Comprehensive Exams
We recommend most of our patients come to see us about every 6 months or so for a cleaning and dental exam. But we know that life sometimes gets in the way and welcome you to our office no matter how long it’s been since you last saw the dentist.
Our hygienists are known for the most gentle cleanings in Overland Park.
- Working quickly, efficiently, and gently — and they’ll be smiling the whole time!
- Cleaning the plaque and tartar that can’t be removed by brushing and flossing at home.
- Polishing your teeth for that fresh-from-the-dentist feeling.
As part of your dental exam, you’ll be able to share any issues that are causing you pain, discomfort, or worry.
Whether you’ve got a toothache, bleeding gums, chronic headaches, or cosmetic concerns about your smile, your dentist will answer your questions. Your dental exam also includes:
- Quick and easy oral cancer screening
- Cavity check and gum disease evaluation
- Bite assessment
- Exam of crowns, implants, veneers, etc.
- Review of x-rays (and new x-rays if needed)
Finally, we’ll work with you to create a follow-up treatment plan that you feel confident about.

Your First Visit
Your first dental cleaning and exam will take about 90 minutes from start to finish. This will allow us plenty of time to get to know you, learn about your dental health history, and answer any questions you have.
